Summer is on its way!

Last weekend I threw a baby shower for my friend who is due this week :) I organised a high tea style affair which was just an excuse to bring out my collection of tiny chinese tea cups and to actually use all of my tea pots. Not to mention extend the dining table for the first time :) It happily accommodated the 10 of us, all the food, tea pots (lol) punch and wine :) We ate tiny quiches, tiny cupcakes, tiny muffins and experienced the phenomena that is tasty tiny food. Oh why does tiny food always taste so good? So much better than regular sized food!

The last weeks of winter are my favourite of the year. It is still cool, but you can feel the warmth creeping back into the air :) The other day sprocket and I went to the park for a picnic and the weather was just divine. We sat in the sun eating yummy fresh spring rolls (uncooked ones- very healthy ;)) and I sat back and watched my girl climb and slide. It was such a beautiful day! After lunch we played hide and seek, which is interesting with a child who is still learning the idea of the game. Unfortunately for me, she decided to the count of 4 was all the time I had to hide! And who couldn't laugh when a small person who still thinks that covering their eyes renders them invisible to all!
